Improved Corn Yields When Humic Acid Extracted from Composted Manure Is Applied to Acid Soils with Phosphorus Fertilizer

چکیده
Most corn planted on tropical acidic soils suffers substantial yield loss caused by low crop phosphorus (P) uptake. Humic acid is recommended to increase P uptake since it capable of competing with be bound soil adsorption complexes. extracted from composted manure (MHA) a good alternative humic because more reactive and has higher complexation ability compared leonardite. Therefore, the effectiveness soil-applied MHA combined was evaluated improve yields in aspect nutrient efficiency physiological performance. Two high-yielding cultivars that are highly accepted Indonesian farmers resistant downy mildew disease were subjected five different types combinations. The amount fertilizer equivalent 120 mg P2O5 kg?1 soil. H10P1 produced most significant result p < 0.05 terms total dry weight, grain yield. highest for leaves grains found H5P1, respectively. Although chlorophyll content not substantially improved, stomatal apertures 7 weeks after planting (WAP) significantly increased id="M2"> H15P1. photosynthetic rate nitrate reductase (NR) activity at 10 WAP id="M3"> H5P1 H10P1, results clearly indicated increases performance aperture, rate, NR can contribute yields.

MANURE Mineralizable Carbon, Nitrogen, and Water-Extractable Phosphorus Release from Stockpiled and Composted Manure and Manure-Amended Soils
Much of land-applied manure is surface-broadcast or incorporated to a shallow depth of fields under crop Dissolved N and P transfer to runoff water may increase with residue and conservation tillage management because of surface applications and shallow soil incorporation of animal manure. Information is needed regarding water-extractable nutrient release the need to conserve stored soil water ...

Excessive fertilization with organic and/or inorganic P amendments to cropland increases the potential risk of P loss to surface waters. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of soil test P level, source, and application method of P amendments on P in runoff following soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.]. The treatments consisted of two rates of swine (Sus scrofa domestica) liquid...

Managing fertilizer applications to maintain soil P below environmentally unacceptable levels should consider the contribution of manure and synthetic fertilizer sources to soluble and extractable forms of P. Our objective was to evaluate soil and manure characteristics and application rates on P extractability in recently amended soils. Five soils of the U.S. southern High Plains were amended ...
متن کاملSurface runoff losses of phosphorus from Virginia soils amended with turkey manure using phytase and high available phosphorus corn diets.
Many states have passed legislation that regulates agricultural P applications based on soil P levels and crop P uptake in an attempt to protect surface waters from nonpoint P inputs. Phytase enzyme and high available phosphorus (HAP) corn supplements to poultry feed are considered potential remedies to this problem because they can reduce total P concentrations in manure. However, less is know...
